"Thanks to our well-rehearsed and perfectly implemented emergency response, the impact of last week’s flood was kept to a minimum. The flood caused only minor damage to the site infrastructure so we are able to operate unconstrained. On all product lines we are accepting orders and delivering normally."

Tomorrow Wednesday June 5 is likely to be the second worst flooding of the Elbe river (Labe in Czech) since 1947. We are still producing and shipping products but we are already implementing a staged shutdown of the entire site due to the predicted seriousness of the flood. Trucks will continue to be able to access the site normally so we plan to continue to supply materials from stock normally throughout the week.

Spolek pro chemickou a hutní výrobu (Spolchemie) has successfully been refinanced. Spolchemie has signed a long term agreement with three banks (Poštová banka, Raiffeisenbank, LBBW Bank) refinancing its total debt of 2,2 billion CZK. The new agreements with the banks finally bring an end to the series of ‘stand still’ agreements with financing banks. Spolchemie has a long-term and sustainable financing structure, which will provide stability and allow Spolchemie to continue to grow and execute its medium to long-term strategy.
